South Korea has extradited to New Zealand a woman suspected of murdering two children whose bodies were found in suitcases in Auckland this year.
A New Zealander of Korean descent was handed over to New Zealand authorities at Incheon International Airport yesterday.
She is suspected of fleeing to South Korea in 2018 after allegedly killing her 7-year-old and 10-year-old children in Oakland.
“Along with the suspect, the Ministry of Justice has also obtained key evidence and handed it over to New Zealand in accordance with their request,” the ministry said in a statement.
New Zealand police have launched a murder investigation in Auckland after a family found the children’s remains while going through the contents of a storage locker they had bought.
