Three people were killed and a five-year-old child was seriously injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles in Rayton, Pretoria late on Sunday night.
Three adults died on the spot, and the child was taken to hospital for treatment. The exact cause of the crash is still unknown.
EmerG-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen explains: “Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a horrific car collision on the R104 in the Rayton area at approximately 10pm on Sunday evening. Upon arrival at the scene, it was established that two vehicles collided head-on. Upon closer inspection, three occupants of one of the vehicles were found to have fatal injuries and were pronounced dead by the time paramedics arrived. The girl, aged around five, was found to have suffered serious injuries and was stabilized at the practice’s EMS before being taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment.’
