Northern Cape man arrested after Sassa cards found in his possession – SABC News

Police have arrested a 40-year-old man in De Haar in the Northern Cape who is accused of breaching the National Credit Act.

The man was found with seven Sassa cards, 41 bank cards, including 32 identification documents.

It is suspected that the man is a moneylender. He will appear in a local court next week.

“The operation progressed to Malay Kamp in De Haar, where a 40-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged with contravening the National Credit Act 34 of 2005. The suspect was found to have seven Sassa cards, 41 bank cards including 32 identification documents. He is suspected of acting as a moneylender,” says police spokesperson Olebageng Tawana.
