Gift of the Givers says it will help firefighters in Nelson Mandela Bay by delivering essential items, including water, to fight fires in the metro.
Two homes were destroyed by fire in Beach View, with winds blowing flames toward Sea View Tuesday night.
Gift of the Givers founder Imtiaz Suliman says a disaster relief team asked them to help.
“Hot meals will be provided, as well as bottled water and other supplies needed by firefighters during this difficult time. If additional water supplies are needed, Gift of the Givers will send tankers from other parts of the Eastern Cape. We built 45 boreholes in Gkeberha to help with Day Zero. These wells will be a source of water to help the firefighters and bring the fire under control.”
