Inanda Police Station records the highest number of murders:
Following the release of crime statistics, residents of Inando in Durban have expressed concern over the rise in crime in the area.
The police station once again leads the country in the number of murders and rapes recorded between July and September this year, with 99 murders reported during this period.
Inanda is a densely populated area with informal settlements and a few liquor shops. Some members of the community were reluctant to speak freely about what they believed to be the root causes of the persistently high crime rate in their area.
