The Amazulu royal family has described the killing of Prince Mantukafiwana Mbongiseni Zulu on Thursday night as devastating.
The prince and his bodyguard were ambushed in Nongoma in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
This is the second murder of King Misuzulu’s advisor KaZvelitini.
The Amazulu king’s spokesman, Prince Thulani Zulu, says they hope the police investigation will shed more light on the tragedy.
“Really devastated because the prince died, killed by heartless killers and we don’t know why it happened. We just have faith in the law enforcement agencies that they will do whatever it takes to get the criminals and bring them to justice, because it’s very difficult when you feel like you’re at war, but you don’t know who you’re at war with. The prince didn’t know he was at war, I don’t believe he did until he was attacked. We trust that the police will bring the criminals to justice and maybe we will find out what happened,” says Zulu.
