Other suspects who were arrested last week in connection with the killing of local municipality mayor Collins Chabane in Limpopo are expected to make their first appearance in the Malamulele Magistrate’s Court.

Moses Maluleke was shot dead at his home in Shikundu village near Malamulele last month.

The suspects, a businessman from Thohoyandou and a man from Ntlhaveni, were linked to Maluleke’s murder.

Police have not released further details about the two suspects.

More details are expected when they appear in court.

Both suspects will be charged with murder and attempted murder in connection with the death of the mayor and the wounding of his son.

Meanwhile, the other two accused in the murder, Avhatakali Mulaudi and Shumani Nemadodi, abandoned their bail applications last week. Their case was postponed to September 19 for finalization.
