Mpumalanga police have arrested a suspect in the murder of the daughter of former Secretary-General for Economic Freedom (EFF) Hillary Hardy, who was found dead Tuesday on the Lidenburg road near Mbambela.

This was announced on Friday night by the Commissioner of Police of Mpumalanga Province, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela.

Monemela says the suspect was arrested in Chaomansdale near the border with Esvatini.

“We’re hacking this case and we’re there. We are doing what is right and we will receive all the information to ensure that more arrests are possible. The verification of the information is accurate and we are sure of what we are doing. The suspect we now hold in our hands is the right suspect. “

Meanwhile, the Hardy family welcomed the arrest.

A spokesman for the Sinavo Tambo family says the family will find it difficult to find closure: “We need to be able to praise and praise the hard work that the police are doing. Thus, they informed us that at the moment they cannot reveal the identity of the suspect, because we have to wait until the suspect is charged and appear in court. We will respect this and let the law run its course. But I have to convey to the public one message that the father of the late Hillary Hardy has, that he would like to have one opportunity, even if he spoke through a cell or through a window and asked this man why he killed their daughter.
