The Parliament expresses its condolences in connection with the death of Vitzija Mentor

Mentor died on Tuesday at the age of 58. She was a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and Member of Parliament between 2002 and 2014.

CAPE TOWN – Parliament has expressed its condolences over the death of former Member of Parliament Vitjie Mentor.

Mentor died on Tuesday at the age of 58.

She was a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and Member of Parliament between 2002 and 2014. The teacher worked on various committees during his time in the parliament.

She also testified before the Zonda Commission during its investigation into allegations of state capture.

“Miss Mentor was a diligent, passionate and committed public figure who contributed greatly to the law-making and oversight function of Parliament. She has served Parliament and the people of South Africa with the utmost distinction and selflessness and has been recognized for her steadfast and unwavering fight against corruption,” said Parliamentary Spokesperson Molata Motapa.
