Three of New Zealand’s touring party have tested positive for coronavirus, but their four-day warm-up match against English county Sussex will still continue, cricket executives said Friday.

Batsman Henry Nichols, sailor Blair Tickner and bowling coach Shane Jürgensen were celebrated after a series of tests on the first morning in Howe and will host five days of isolation.

Nichols recently suffered a calf injury and did not expect to participate in the match.

New Zealand Cricket confirmed that the tests of other participants were negative and the situation will be under control

The Black Caps are also missing Captain Kane Williamson, who is at home awaiting the birth of his second child, and Indian Premier League contingent Tim Southy, Trent Bult and Daryl Mitchell.

The world test champions are preparing for a series of three tests against England, which will begin in Lord on June 2.
