JOHANNESBURG – Fighters for Economic Freedom (EFF) say the family of former party secretary general Godrich Hardy was disappointed with police for failing to meet Friday’s deadline to find the killers of Hardy’s daughter Hillary.

Police Minister Bheki Cele activated a 72-hour action plan on Tuesday, giving investigators a search until Friday.

Hillary Hardy, 28, was found murdered near Mbambela on Tuesday after she was reported missing for days.

EFF spokesman Sinavo Tambo said they did not get the desired result from police.

“Now that their time is fast approaching, we are waiting and do not want to hear updates that are not related to any specific consequences or arrest of a person. We are not getting anything and it concerns us, but we are here and waiting; they can come to us in any moment to give us information, ”Tambo said.

Meanwhile, a candle lighting ceremony took place on Friday near the family home in Mbambel, Mpumalanga.

EFF Deputy Secretary-General Poppy Mayola said the mourners pay tribute to the grieving family.
