The first finale of “The Bachelorette” season 19, which lasted two nights, began on Tuesday.
Double Bachelorettes Gabby Windy, an ICU nurse from Illinois, and Rachel Recchia, an instructor pilot from Clermont, Florida, made the remaining men meet their families.
But first, Zach pulled Rachel aside before the rose ceremony and told her, “I felt like I was seeing Bachelorette Rachel, not the real Rachel.”
He decided to leave the show. They later reconciled during the live portion of the episode hosted by Jesse Palmer.
Rekya gave roses to Tino and Aries and they went to meet their families.
Aries met Rachel’s parents, but when her best friends asked him if he was ready for an immediate engagement, he said no.
“It’s just a matter of time,” he said.
“I just want to make sure it’s 100 percent right for both of us, right now, at this very moment in time,” he told Recchia.
His family didn’t like her either.
Rekya said she was “stunned” while Aries said: “I’m sitting here trying to fight for this.”
Rekya cried and told him that it was over between them.
Windy meanwhile introduced Erich to his parents and grandfather John.
“I can’t imagine my life without her,” he told her family.
Erich eventually revealed that he wasn’t ready for an engagement either and just wanted to “date” her.
“I don’t want to do this anymore,” she replied, “So here we are, a big fat dumpster fire.”
The Bachelorette returns Tuesday, September 20 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
