Thousands of people in the diaspora are expected to return to Ghana to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Global Festival, which was launched to mark Ghana’s 65th independence anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the African Union.

Speaking at the opening of the Global Music Festival, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantei expressed optimism about the economic impact of the event on the local economy, adding that the festival will attract tourists and local residents. increasing the number of inbound trips.

According to him, the organizers of Global citizen, an event in Ghana will take place on September 24 at the Black Star Square in Accra with live performances by international music superstars Usher, SZA, Stormzy, HER and Ghanaian stars Sarkodie, Stonebwoy. and Gyakie, for whom he believes it was in the right direction.

The event will spotlight Ghana’s creative arts industry and increase collaboration between Ghanaians and artists from other parts of the world, all expected to take to the stage at the square.

According to him, Ghanaians wanted to see thousands of their brothers and sisters from the diaspora to come and witness the 65th anniversary celebrations.
