TechPR Nigeria, a public relations and communications company co-founded by former TechCabal Editor-in-Chief, Adegoke Ayeniyiannounced the appointment Felicia Omari Ocele as CEO.

Since its founding in 2019, TechPR has been helping leading startups and VCs create and tell their stories to global and local audiences. In addition to funding announcements, his skilled team of professionals has secured and helped create original stories and leadership content to better position his clients to attract investment, partners and talent. As such, clients have not only established themselves as industry leaders, but have also been featured on leading business and technology platforms outside of company announcements.

Having served Nigeria’s crowded startup scene, TechPR plans to expand its reach to more startups across Africa looking to gain visibility in Nigeria and other major hotspots.

“We are delighted to welcome Felicia to the team and I am very confident that she will play a significant role in driving our expansion into countries such as Kenya and Egypt. She also brings a wealth of experience and energy that will provide the strategic direction and drive TechPR needs to grow,” said Adegoke Ayenyi.

Prior to joining TechPR Nigeria, Ms Ochele served as Senior Editor at Ventures Africa, one of Africa’s leading players in the media space. In her role, she conducted high-profile interviews with thought leaders in the business industry, led the team through a difficult transition from print media to online media, and created and published original content on some of the world’s most pressing issues.

She also worked in the content strategy team at an African media agency where she honed her PR, creative and digital marketing skills. Additionally, during her work at NGOs such as the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa, she led a diverse team across functions including business processes and strategy, human capital solutions, customer relationship management and RFP.

Felicia is a strong media and communications professional with a BA in English from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Charles Koch Media and Journalism Scholar 2019 and MJ Bear Scholarship Honoree 2016. She also holds a Diploma in Digital Marketing.
