The man accused of raping and murdering 8-year-old Tezna van Wyk from Elsis River will continue to testify in the Cape Town High Court on Wednesday.

In court on Tuesday, Moidian Pangkaeker again denied the murder charges against him. The defendants previously pleaded not guilty to 27 counts.

Tazne went missing in February 2019 from her home and her body was found in a storm drain in Boland a few days later.

Pangkaeker claimed to have found Tazne along the main road, in Elsis River, when he was about to board a minibus.

He says Tazne offered to give the passengers directions in the car.

Pangkeker says he was forced to accompany the little girl after she boarded a taxi alone.

The trial for the murder of Tazna van Wyk continues
