The Eastern Cape government has set up a task force to deal with the infighting at the Uncedo Taxi Association that left four people dead on Wednesday.

The shooting incident took place at a taxi stand on the highway in Mdantsane, near East London. The working group will consist of six people from different fields of activity.

The focus will be on mediation. Transport MEC, Weziwe Tikana-Gxothiwe says the team has been given three months to complete their work…

“Our conclusions are that the infighting is related to one association, which is the aid association. so we just mediate so that they understand each other that they need each other. we cannot afford to lose many family members who are fathers to their families. who are supporters in their families is something the government cannot afford.”
