We would like our readers to start paying for the Daily Maverick

In particular, we would like those who can afford to pay to start paying. It all comes down to whether you appreciate it or not Daily Maverick. Think of us in terms of your daily cappuccino from your favorite coffee shop. It costs about 35 rand. That’s it 1050 rand per month for frothed milk. Don’t get us wrong, we live almost exclusively on coffee. BUT it is possible 200 rand of that 1050 rand can go to journalism that fights for the country?

We do not determine what contribution our readers would like to make. After Total, how much you value our work is subjective (and honestly, every little bit helps). For 200 rand you get it back in Uber Eats and travel vouchers every month, but that’s just the offer. A little less than a week of cappuccino.

We cannot survive on our own hope and determination. Our country will be much worse off if we don’t have a strong, sustainable media. If you are rebuilding your budget and it comes to choosing between foamed milk and Daily MaverickWe hope you could reconsider this cappuccino.

We need your help. And we are not ashamed to ask for it.

Our mission is to protect the truth. Join Maverick Insider.
