Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Dr Naledi Pandor will speak at two events in Cape Town this week marking the 20th anniversary of the African Union (AU).

The first event is a public lecture on May 17, 2022, beginning at 5:30 p.m., on “Africa in 2063: Eliminating Barriers to Prosperity.”

The second event, a seminar, will be held at the University of the Western Cape. The event is scheduled for May 18, 2022, beginning at 5 p.m., under the theme: “Pan-Africanism Now.”

Representatives of science, students, think tanks, members of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Cooperation and civil society are invited to both events.

The 20th anniversary of the AU provides an opportunity to reflect on Africa’s path to prosperity and security. This is a time to appreciate the successes and challenges of the continent.
