The former Golden Arrows captain says after his good performance for the club, it’s always good to see some hard work in training during games.

Sibisi marked his Pirates debut with a fine performance as they beat FC Swallows 1-0 at the Orlando Stadium.

The new Soweto giants continued his impressive form in just his second game for the Buccaneers as he scored a brilliant header during the team’s 1-1 away draw with FC Stellenbosch.

“It was a great feeling [to score his first goal for Pirates]. You know it took me a while to get my first goal at Arrows so it was really nice to help the team. Plus, it’s nice to see hard work pay off. We actually worked very hard in training. It’s always good to see that on the field,” the Buccaneers website quoted the defender as saying.

Pirates face Chippa United in Soweto on Sunday and Sibisi says it is vital they get maximum points, especially as they are playing at home.

“It is very important that we get three points on Sunday. We’re playing at home at the Orlando Stadium and if we add the win to the point we got away from home, we can put ourselves in a good position.”

The Pirates face a Chippa side looking to register their first three points of the season as the Eastern Cape outfit have lost one game and drawn the other in their opening two games of the 2022/23 season.
