Bonka Khoza is an actor who has appeared in local and international films. Bokang Phelan on starring in action dramas Bloody Psalmwith | October 20, 2022
Bocong Phelan’s role of a lifetime Blood Psalms as Princess Zazi, daughter of the mad King Letsha; mistress of General Toko, head of the Akachi army; and pregnant with a child prophesied to call for the return of the gods. She will share her experience playing the heavyweight title role opposite SAFTA winners Bongile Mantsai, Hamilton Dlamini, Hlubi Mboyi, Motusi Magana, Siwa Ngesi and Warren Masemola, and talk about how intense an action lead can be.

Teaching continued behind the scenes at the Showmax x Actor Spaces workshops, where each head of department was entrusted with interns. “It was a mix of graduates and students from the Actor Spaces workshops, with a preference for women, black and younger applicants,” says Siteb. “In total, we gathered 25 aspiring young actors and a crew, distributing them among departments such as the director’s department, the production department and the production design. By exposing the practical side of the industry, we believe we have equipped these young creatives with the skills and know-how to advance their aspirations in our ever-growing sector.”
