Seven people accused of killing a man from Dipslut are expected to petition for bail Monday in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court north of Johannesburg.

Zimbabwean citizen Elvis Nyati was beaten and burned to death during violent protests in Dipslute in March after locals allegedly accused migrants of committing crimes in the area.

The bail statement was postponed during the men’s preliminary appearance in court so they could appear at the parade.
