Police divers have recovered another body of a teenager who drowned in Seshega Dam near Polokwane in Limpopo.
The first body was recovered on Saturday, the day of the incident.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says the boys were apparently crossing the dam in hat-sized homemade canoes and drowned.
The deceased have been identified as Kotsem Ramara aged nine and Kuba Mashila aged 12 from Zone 5 Seshega.
The police started an investigation.
Ledwaba warned parents not to let their children swim unsupervised.
He says people must be tired of the dam as several drownings have been reported in the area in the past.
A mother was left reeling after her son drowned
In a separate accident last February, a mother in Limpopo was left in shock after her 14-year-old son drowned in a dam near Louis Trichardt in Limpopo.
The nearly decomposed body of Sela Muthivha from Madabani was recovered in the early hours of February 17, 2021 after a tireless search by community members.
