South African Music Industry Council (SAMIC) president Vusi Lewis has joined South Africans expressing shock at the untimely death of TKZee member Tokollo ‘Magesh’ Tshabalala on Monday.
According to his family, he died of an epileptic seizure. The family has asked for privacy during preparations for his funeral.
Many took to Twitter to express their sadness at the death of the legendary Kwaito artist. Lewis says Tshabalala’s legacy lives on.
“It was a sad day as we woke up this morning looking forward to a new week. Over the weekend I posted a thank you message for Magesh. I planned to meet him. Tokolo was a pioneer along with TKZee who were one of the first kwaito groups to lead the country after 1994. He was a leader and most of the recruits we did he was in charge,” says Lewis.
