Queen Charlotte of “Bridgerton” received an origin story.
Netflix and Shondaland shared the first photo and official title of Shonda Rhimes’ limited series Queen Charlotte: The Bridgerton Story on Friday.
The news came as part of a preview clip for Tudum’s fan event, which will feature the series.
In it, Golda Rushuvel, who plays Queen Charlotte in Bridgerton, and Ajoah Ando, ​​who plays Lady Agatha Danbury, are joined by India Amarteifio, who plays the young Queen Charlotte in the prequel.
“Focusing on Queen Charlotte’s rise to fame and power, this prequel in Bridgerton verse tells how the young queen’s marriage to King George sparks both a great love story and social change, creating the world of Tone that the characters inherit in Bridgerton.” – says the description of the Netflix series.
