Orlando Pirates fans were disappointed on Friday after their team lost 5-4 in a penalty shootout in the CAF Confederations Cup final. The game against the Moroccan team RSB Berkane ended in a 1-1 draw after extra time at the international stadium Godswill Akpabio in Nigeria.

Tembinkossi Lorcha’s penalty kick was blocked by Bercano goalkeeper Akbi Hamza, handing over the cup to the Moroccans.

It was a grief for the South African team in their third final and they have yet to raise silver.

The Saueta Giants took second place in their last two appearances in the CAF finals.

RS Berkan took the lead in overtime, but the Pirates equalized in the final minutes of extra time after Lorch scored.
