Veteran actor Vusi Tanda is best known for his roles in the SABC 1 sitcom Emzini Vezinsizwa and Queen.

Tanda left South Africans heartbroken after a video of him went viral on Twitter on Thursday, September 22.

The 71-year-old actor asked Mzansi to open their hearts and donate money to him.

After watching the video, Pearl Tusi is truly heartbroken.

She took to her Instagram to repost it and expressed her sadness after seeing such a great talent take to the internet to ask for help.

She then urges her fellow artists to unite and fight.

Pearl wrote: “This is so heartbreaking…artists who have inspired and entertained us for years are now on their knees begging for help. Please let us help… Swipe to see its details more clearly. It’s cruel that the SABC continues to undermine artists who continue to make money ‘forever’ and what’s worse is that artists can’t come together and fight this because we’re so divided… things need to change.”
