Online admission to 1st and 8th grades for the 2023 academic year will begin in July

Gautenga’s education department has confirmed that the online reception will be open from July to August.

JOHANNESBURG – The time of year has come again, when thousands of parents have to apply for a place in 1st and 8th grades.

Paneza Lesoufi, MEC Gauteng Education, said the online admission for the 2023 academic year will be open from July to August.

Lesufi said they have revised the way the previous system worked and improved it to make it more user-friendly.

Earlier, parents expressed concern about the system and the problems they face when trying to register their children.

The application period will begin on July 2 and end on August 19.
