DURBAN – The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature has officially voted in Nomusa Dube-Ncube as Prime Minister.

The legislature met in Mui River on Wednesday to nominate and elect a new prime minister to replace Sile Zikalal, who stepped down last week.

Dube-Ncube previously served as MEC for various portfolios in KwaZulu-Natal.

She became the first female premier of the province.
