South Africans have expressed their shock at the untimely death of TKZee member Tokollo ‘Magesh’ Tshabalala on Monday 15 August.
TKZee host Zwai Bala, Kaya FM breakfast show co-host Sol Fenduka and other celebrities have paid tribute to the Kwaita star, who died at the age of 45.

THE FAMILY CONFIRM THE DEATH OF TAKOLL “MAGESH” TSHABALALA
According to a statement issued by Tshabalal’s family, the musician died of an epileptic seizure.
“The family asks for privacy during this difficult time. All details regarding his funeral and burial will be announced in due course,” the statement said.
Magesh, who was part of the 1990s group TKZee along with Kabela Mabalan and Zwai Bala, has been out of the limelight for years. However, in April, the award-winning group wowed Mzansi with a performance at Celeb City ahead of the much-anticipated Casper Nyovest vs NaakMusiq boxing match.

In light of the news of Magesh’s death, the Republic of South Africa sends its condolences to the family.

Musician, content creator and MC Mzwakhe Mbuli Jr. also known as Robot Boii shared a video of TKZee performing during a celebrity boxing match that took place in April this year.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) also shared a heartfelt message.
