Businessman Liroy Sidambe has broken months of silence to clarify the state of his marriage to Mary Jane Sidambe. Over the weekend, he issued a statement claiming that he had split from his wife to be with his girlfriend, Mihlali Ndamase.
Leroy described his separation from Mary Jane as a separation and said he tried to make the process as amicable as possible for the sake of the children he shares with Mary Jane and their families.
“I am first and foremost a father whose sole purpose is to protect and provide for my two wonderful children. I have constantly protected them from this period of change in our lives. They are the only reason I sought an amicable separation from my estranged wife,” he said in a statement.
He claimed he initiated the divorce proceedings in March to ensure he still had access to his children.
“According to my understanding and what my lawyers conveyed, this meant that my estranged wife and I could live our lives as we saw fit. Free to move on in the way we chose as single people.”
It was during this separation Liroy said he fell in love with influencer Mihlali Ndamase and said he was saddened to see her name being “draggled daily” on social media for loving him “boldly and loudly”.

“The constant harassment she is being subjected to, instigated by my wife’s associates, is intolerable and frankly dangerous to anyone’s mental well-being.”
He ended his statement by praising his girlfriend, scolding her so-called bullies and saying that all this has to stop.
Who is Liroy Sidambe?
Sidambe is the Chairman and CEO of the Sakhile Ezweni Group.
It describes its business as “a multidisciplinary group of organizations involved in security, cleaning, event management, construction bakery and project management”.
Judging by his LinkedIn profile, he has experience in organizing events and has worked on major events such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and Nelson Mandela’s memorial service at FNB Stadium nine years ago.
He is said to have been in a romantic relationship with the woman he now calls his estranged wife for 20 years.
Very little is known about her and what she does.
