A report handed over to MEC Gauteng Education Panyaza Lesufi after an investigation into alleged racism and sexual violence at the Hoërskool Jan Viljoen in Randfantin, west of Johannesburg, showed that there were problems at the school.
On Tuesday, Lesufi met with the school’s governing body, management, and parents of students at the school, which police had to intervene in after violence between black and white students began in February.
Luke Enslin of the specialized security services hired by the school to investigate the incident presented and handed over the report.
“Everything was wrong at the school, it is supposed to continue disciplinary proceedings against the identified students and newly identified students. We also suggested that the school set up a grievance commission, which will review grievances in the future so that these things do not get out of hand. “
