KFC will investigate a bogus food inspector who received free meals in South Africa.

KFC recently launched a private investigation to track down an alleged fake food inspector who is extorting free food from KFC stores across South Africa.

Media reports of an allegedly fake KFC quality inspector first surfaced in 2019. Initially, the reported incidents were considered an urban legend. However, intermittent social media coverage of the fake food inspector has led to new stories of other quality assurance impersonations.

KFC appointed private investigator Beckett Matunza to verify the authenticity of the alleged reports and, if true, to trace the identity of the fake KFC food inspector.

KFC is asking the public to help with this investigation. Any information can be obtained on the 24-hour hotline 0872-40-67-24
