Kenyan police have intercepted two trucks transporting Ugandans to polling stations in Kenya.
The cars were intercepted on election day, August 9, 2022.
About 91 Ugandan nationals were in the trucks, according to local media monitored by African Entertainment.
26 Ugandans were reportedly on the run by the police while another 65 escaped.
African Entertainment gathered that voters were heading to Endebes Constituency, which is about 400 kilometers from Uganda.
Constituency MP Robert Pokuse says those arrested were innocent Kenyans who had come from Uganda where they were doing business. Pukose is seeking re-election on a UDA ticket.
