Kendall power station ‘sudden’ outage forces Eskom to increase blackouts

Eskom has announced escalating blackouts, with phase 4 due to begin at 10am on Tuesday morning.

CAPE TOWN – Eskom has announced that it will be escalating the blackout, with Phase 4 due to start at 10am on Tuesday morning.

The Energy Authority said the sudden outage of three units at Kendal Power Station had forced them to increase their blackout levels.

This phase of the power outage will last until 5 a.m. Thursday.

The energy company said it would publish more detailed information in due course.
