Earlier this year, TMZ reports that the 45-year-old musician has been named as a suspect in a battery stabbing that took place outside the Soho Warehouse in downtown Los Angeles.
According to the publication, eyewitnesses said that the rapper was surrounded by many fans near the hotel who wanted to take autographs and take pictures with him, but he asked them not to take pictures of him, because at that time he was going through something. .
The fan apparently responded to Kanye’s request by saying that everyone goes through family stuff, at which point the father of four hit the fan.
TMZ witnesses reportedly saw the producer punch the fan twice, once in the head and once in the neck.

According to the publication, after the attack on the fan, he was taken to the hospital by emergency medical services to be checked for injuries, and the Los Angeles police began investigating Kanye West for the beatings.
On Tuesday, a representative of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office said that Power the hitmaker will not face charges for his offense due to insufficient evidence to proceed with the case.
“After a thorough and careful review of all the evidence, our office declines to file the case on the basis that there is no reasonable likelihood of a conviction,” the statement said.

If convicted in the case, the rapper could face a maximum jail term of 6 months or a fine of up to $2,000 (R34,000).
