Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema said he wanted to coach Podcast and Chill MacG host while addressing the media at the party’s headquarters in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, earlier this week.

EFF leader Julius Malema said it was the public’s responsibility to educate MacG. He pointed out that the Podcast and Chill host may be disrespectful to women and the LGBTQIA+ community, but yelling at him from afar won’t help.

“McG, even if he’s disrespectful to women, gays and lesbians, we have a responsibility to educate him, and we can’t educate him by yelling at him from afar,” he said.

Malema went on to say that he told MacG that Mzansi was concerned about his behavior when he appeared on the show.

“I told him when I was on his podcast that South Africans feel about his behavior and demeanor. That is why I am not going to sit in prisons as a pastor because if I go to pray for murderers in prison and rapists, I will be told; “yeah, by going there, you’re also encouraging what you say you’re against.” I will still talk even to the rapists themselves and try to convince them to do the right thing,” he continued.

Malema went on to say that he went on the show to tell MacG that women, especially EFF women, were treating him. However, he noted that it is up to the podcast host to decide if he wants to change or not.

“Whether he’s going to change or not, the message has been delivered not through gossip, but directly to his face and through direct interaction with him, we hope he will become a better person,” he said.
