More than six months after the shock allegations emerged, Greenwood’s bail has been repeatedly extended and Greater Manchester Police appear to have stopped providing updates.
Little further information has been released, with the only real certainty being that Greenwood has seemingly been suspended indefinitely by Manchester United. The club continue to pay the suspended forward £75,000-a-week.
Greenwood has already missed more than 25 appearances for Man United and there is no sign of a return any time soon, with the playmaker last appearing for the Red Devils when he started against West Ham on January 22. who won 1:0.

Greenwood was one of United’s key players before the dispute and according to the Telegraph, former caretaker manager Ralph Rangnick believed the 20-year-old was a major talent when it came to raw ability and “application on the pitch”. The report goes on to say that Rangnick believed that the boy could be “molded” into a superstar.
The club put their new 2022-23 shirt on sale a few months ago, but as the Daily Express points out, the store: “not allowing fans to buy their new home shirt with Mason Greenwood’s name and number on the back.”

Greenwood has not spoken publicly since the story broke in late January when incriminating images and audio recordings surfaced on ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson’s social media account.

The once-young Instagram user with 2.8 million followers hasn’t posted a single post since January 25.
There was a recent debate on social media over the fact that his profile was still visible on Manchester United’s website, but United have repeatedly reiterated that Greenwood’s status at the club remains unchanged.
“There has been no change in Mason’s status,” the club said midway through the year.
“We removed his profile from the club’s app shortly after he was removed from the squad in January. This was done to remove Mason from the interactive elements of the program, such as team predictions, etc.
“However, his profile was never removed from the website as he remains a Manchester United player, although not part of the team, while the legal process unfolds.”
