Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback who currently plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and his model wife Bundchen are dealing with “marital issues,” according to a source close to the couple.
They are currently “living separately,” another source close to Bündchen told CNN.
CNN has reached out to representatives for Brady and Bündchen.
Brady, 45, retired from the NFL in February, only to later reverse the decision. He took 11 days off from training camp in August to “deal with some personal issues,” according to his head coach, Todd Bowles.
“It’s a very brutal sport, and I have kids, and I’d like to see more of it,” Bündchen told the publication. “I definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But at the end of the day I feel everyone has to make the decision that works for them [them]. He also needs to follow his own joy.’
“I haven’t had Christmas in 23 years, and I haven’t had Thanksgiving in 23 years, I haven’t celebrated birthdays with people I care about who were born between August and the end of January. And I can’t be at funerals, and I can’t be at weddings,” Brady told Gray. “I think there comes a point in your life where you say, ‘You know what? I’ve had my fill, and that’s enough, and it’s time to move on, move on to other parts of life.”
