It’s time to get those blankets out as the cold is making its way to Gauteng.
Weather in Gauteng warned residents to prepare for frost in parts of the province from Sunday evening.
According to the tweet, the mercury is expected to drop significantly overnight.

On Friday South African Meteorological Service (SAWS) has issued a level 2 yellow warning for damaging waves and winds between Saldanha Bay and Plettenberg Bay from Saturday afternoon until Sunday evening.
According to the weather service, this will lead to localized damage to coastal infrastructure and difficulties in navigation at sea.
Ice also covered the highlands of the cape, where snow fell.
Photos on social media show snowfall at the Matroosberg Private Game Reserve in the Western Cape.
A video of the heavy snow was posted on Twitter by Storm Report SA.
Load shedding
The frost is likely to worsen pressure on the power grid as people use heaters to keep warm.
on wednesday Eskom warned that he could implement stage 2 of load shedding in a short period of time.

Joburg’s emergency services are on high alert
Meanwhile, City of Johannesburg Emergency Services told The Citizen that he will be on standby as a cold front is expected to hit various towns in Gauteng.
Spokesman Robert Mulaudi said Joburg EMS was concerned about the significant drop in temperatures.
“We’re still on high alert, we just want to encourage all our residents to continue to monitor all heaters when they’re trying to warm up and make sure they don’t leave them unattended so we can prevent fire incidents.” said Mulaudi.
