The funeral of the deceased gospel star Dr. Deborah Fraser is expected to begin on Saturday morning in Durban.

Hundreds of fans along with many celebrities are expected to attend the funeral service, which has been postponed due to heavy rains and cold weather.

The award-winning gospel artist will be buried Saturday in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal. She died last weekend after suffering a stroke.

Fraser, who has been battling diabetes for years, died Sunday in the presence of her family at Chris Hani Baragwanata Hospital in Sauetta.

She was widely known for her first solo album Abanye Bayombona.
