Springbok half a fly Elton Jantjis made headlines for all the wrong reasons this week after it was claimed he was “entertaining” national team nutritionist Zeenat Simji at two different guesthouses in Mbambola, Mpumalanga, in the week leading up to the Springboks’ Rugby Championship opener against the All Blacks in early August.

Following these startling claims, Giangies’ wife and mother of his three children, Ivo Ristichbroke her silence on this issue.
In an interview with News24, Ristic said yes “not sure” how she felt about her relationship with her husband of 32 years.
ELTON JANTJI’S WIFE BREAKS SILENCE
In an interview, Ristich said that she learned about the novel only from social networks.
Ristic told the publication that she had to read the post three times to make sure she read it correctly.

She added that since the beginning of their relationship in 2014, they have had their own “Ups and downs like any other couple”.
“When we met, he wasn’t even part of the Boca team, we worked really hard for him to achieve his goals and dreams. I sacrificed a lot, including my career and dreams,” she said.
Ristic said Jantjis denies the allegations, but she will “probably” not to continue her romantic relationship with the rugby star.
“We talk all the time. He is very disappointed. I think it’s also good for him to distance himself for Boca’s squad and process everything.”

Regarding the social media reaction to the allegations, Ristic said: “South Africans are very opinionated and like to share their opinions, whether positive or negative. Elton Jantjies was in the Springbok squad in Argentina in preparation for the clash against Puma on Saturday 17 September.
He has since been sent back to South Africa along with Zeenat Simji.

SA RUGBY ISSUE STATEMENT
After reports of the matter emerged, SA Rugby released a statement on Sunday 11 September confirming they were aware of the matter.
“No team protocols have been breached but people are returning to South Africa to review these personal reports and remove any distractions in the team’s preparation for the test against Argentina.”
