Elon Musk appears to have been made aware of comments made by his father Errol Musk during an interview last week, and the 53-year-old is none too pleased.
A 76-year-old South African engineer called in the kyle and jackie o show on Australian radio on Monday, August 1, 2022, and of course his billionaire son was on the agenda. When asked if he was proud of Elon and his accomplishments, he said, “No. You know, we’re a family that’s been doing a lot of things for a long time, it’s not like we suddenly started doing something.”

Now Errol Musk told Daily Mail Australia that comments he made in the interview, including about Elon, were misunderstood and that he didn’t hear the question correctly.
Musk says his daughters were so upset with him after the interview that they refused to speak to him for days. Speaking of Elon’s reaction, Errol says he was just laughing and knows he wasn’t serious.
“Ilon knows that this is not true, so he will never be upset about it. He just laughs at things like that,” he said.
Musk added: “But the last message Elon sent me was, ‘Dad, the press is playing you like a fiddle, so please shut up.’
In the radio interview, Errol was also asked about the “unsightly” shirtless photos of Elon while on vacation in Greece, which caused quite a stir on the Internet. The photos show that Musk has gained a little weight, which Errol apparently did not recommend. He told the radio show that he ordered his son to eat better and take supplements.
“Elon is very well built, but he hasn’t been eating well,” he said.
Musk said he recommended the Tesla founder take garcinia cambogia, a supplement that can supposedly help with weight loss without extra exercise or dieting.
The relationship between father and son has been strained since it became known that Errol fathered two children with his stepdaughter.
