Fighters for Economic Freedom (EFF) have welcomed the arrest of two more police suspects in the investigation into the murder of Hillary Hardy and say they will allow police to do their job.

An EFF statement said they and the Hardy family ensured that police had all the necessary resources to continue the investigation.

Hillary Hardy was the daughter of former EFF Secretary General Goodrich Hardy. Her body was found near the Lidenburg road near Mbambela in Mpumalanga last Tuesday. She was buried in Mbambel on Saturday.

Police spokesman Donald Mdhluli says the three, including the suspect arrested on Friday, will appear in Nelspruit Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

“So far we have arrested only three suspects. It came after the arrest of two men who were arrested this morning between midnight. Age 47, second 52. They have been charged with murder and they will join the suspect arrested on Friday at the age of 39, ”Mdhluli said.
