The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Tshwane say they will lay criminal charges against Tshwane Mayor Randall Williams at the Brooklyn Police Station in Pretoria on Wednesday.
In a statement, EFF regional chairman Abakeng Ramabodu alleges that Williams influenced an unsolicited bid of R48 billion for the pending power generation contract.
The EFF has blamed the collapse of service delivery in the city on misconduct by Mayor Williams, and the party has also called for his immediate resignation over alleged interference in city administration.
