Popular Nigerian entertainer and cross-dresser, Denrel Edun, has opened up about his experience with contestants on the Big Brother Naija reality show.
According to him, people who want to participate in the show turn to him to help them pass the selection and become participants.
Denrel, who admitted in an interview on Lunch Time with Vanguard that he is an “important” contestant on the show, said he has been receiving a lot of nudity from people who wanted to go on BBNaija as well as offers of money.
He said: “I get a lot of naked people who want to go on BBNaija. I get all kinds of cash offers.
“I got N100m, N50m, N30m and I tell people to go and do something smart with their money.
“So let’s just say that if you don’t have a Denrele in your life who can help you rediscover yourself or take you to the next level and give you directions to help you navigate through life, then what are you looking for? Go and find Denrel.
“Get out of it, yeah! I was instrumental in many of these things. It is what it is.
“I am at the center of gravity of the industry. Let’s just say I know people in the right places, if they ask you, tell them to come and meet me.’
Denrell also recounted how Big Brother Africa 2011 winner Karen Igo spoke about how he helped her fill out her application form.
“It all started with my good friend Karen Igoe coming into the house and always saying, ‘on Danrel, help me fill out the form.’
He told how the candidates are going to BBNaija pressure him with offers of money and sometimes send him their nudes to get his support to increase their chances of joining the biggest reality show in Africa.
