This was stated by the Office of the African National Congress (ANC) in the legislature of Mpumalanga, and Philemon Luhele, one of the accused in the case of the murder of Hillary Hardy, agreed that the charges against him damaged the reputation of the office.

The office dismissed Luhele without pay until an internal disciplinary hearing. Luhele and two other defendants are charged with six counts, including kidnapping, rape, murder, defeating justice and conspiracy to commit murder.

They are accused of killing the daughter of former Secretary General of the struggle for economic freedom Godrich Gordy.

ANC provincial head Fidel Mlomba says they were engaged with Luhele.

“As the chief whip’s office, we view these allegations as very serious allegations, so we decided to suspend it immediately, and this deviation is a deviation without pay. It is expected that during the suspension he will not visit the office, do not interact with employees, and hand over all the tools that are actually transferred to him. He agreed with me that these accusations are very serious, these accusations they have the position of chief whip in a bad reputation.
