Future Morgan cars will use Sennheiser software and the dynamic Ac2ated Sound System from Continental.
The automaker claimed that the long-term project “will change the sound experience of future generations of sports cars.”
“In the past, Morgan cars have created problems for audio systems due to limited space, light weight requirements and the nature of an open-top sports car while optimizing sound quality. With the combination of Continental hardware and Sennheiser software, these problems will be overcome, ”the British automaker said in a statement.
The Continental system abandons conventional speaker technology and instead “runs individual surfaces in the car’s interior to produce sound”. As a result, it is claimed that it is “extremely natural and encompasses a sonic experience for residents who feel as if they are sitting in a concert hall surrounded by sound”.
The system provides high quality sound and reduces weight and space “up to 90 percent”.
CEO Graham Chapman said Morgan would “announce more and introduce this new technology to our customers soon”.
