Orlando Pirates coach Fadlu Davids believes they could get a decent base of support in Uyo in Nigeria because of Olissa Nda if they play in the Confederations Cup final on Friday.

After the finals are not held on a home-away system, Caf now uses “neutral” venues to host the finals of its continental club championships.

And the Pirates are lucky that their final against Moroccan RS Berkan was scheduled for Nigeria, where they are a famous brand, because over the years they have had many famous players from that country.

Among them are Williams Oakpara, Sony Opara, Sam Pam, and currently in their ranks there is defender Olissa Ndah. The long guy joined the Pirates early in the season and became an important member of their team.

Davids said Nda played for a team that used the same Godswill Akpabio stadium in Ou for his home games before he joined the Buccaneers.

“We are happy because it is a neutral place, and of course, if the final was in Morocco, it would be a different story,” said Davids.

In another Kaf final, the Champions League, Egypt’s Al-Ahly has already expressed its concerns at the venue in Morocco when they play against a team from that country.

“I urge Nigerian fans to come out and support us. Their prodigal son Ndah returns to their stadium. We play at Aqua United Stadium, where he won the league before joining Orlando Pirates, ”Davids added.
