Chippa United coach Dine Clayt couldn’t believe he got his first win of the season against the mighty Orlando Pirates on Sunday.
After surviving several chances from the Soweto giants, the Chilli Boys scored a late goal at point blank range to take maximum points away from home.

Kleit, who is an Orlando Pirates legend, paid tribute to his replacements who did “huge” impact that leads to a goal.

“I think we have to compliment the players, I think they were fantastic, Banda, the goal was unbelievable – the build-up to the goal for me, Aviva in the corner, he was smart, created a corner out of nothing,” Klate told SuperSport TV.
“It’s a fantastic attitude from the lads, again the subs – it’s like Wednesday came on and made a huge difference, today we came together and pulled together as a team and in the end we got the result.”

Breaking down the game, Kleit explained what they lacked in the first half and what they corrected in the final 45 minutes.
“It was just about being braver, we couldn’t get our lines up, we dropped back and the ball goes forward and we have to defend again, now that we’ve pushed the game and compressed the game it’s gotten better, we’ve started to win the second balls, and we started feeding the other balls, which brought us joy.” he added.
“If a team wants to press us hard and press traps, don’t press traps them, go long, route first, press one way and that’s what we did in the second half, we played a lot better in the areas , and I won’t say we were conservative, we tried to make chances from wide areas, [get the] the ball into the box.
“We know they don’t like to defend, so obviously that ball in the box there in the corner gave us the most important thing, which is to get the three points today.”
