A State witness in Senzo Meyiwa’s murder trial Tumela Madlala claimed Sela ‘Chika’ Twala offered football star Kelly Khumalo’s ‘mum’ an overseas holiday days after his death – it was revealed in the North Gauteng High Court on Wednesday 14 September.

Senzo Meyiwa is believed to have been shot dead during an armed robbery at the home of his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mother in Voslurus on October 26, 2014. His friend Tumela Madlala was one of the people in the house the night Senza was killed. Madlala was a state witness in court on Wednesday 14 September.

So who else was in the house the night Senzo was killed?

  • Kelly
  • Her sister, Zendi,
  • Their mother is Ntombi
  • Zandi Longwe Twala’s then boyfriend
  • Friends of Senzo Mthokozisi Thwala
  • At the time, Kelly’s four-year-old son Christian and daughter Kelly and Senzo Tingo

Madlala made the stunning claim that music producer Chika Twala had offered Kelly Khumalo a holiday abroad days after Senzo’s death.

“I heard him asking Kelly if she wanted to go on holiday abroad,” he told the court.

Twitter found it questionable that Twala offered Kelly time off after Snezo’s death. Many think it was a cover for his son Longwe. look…

“Chicco came to Malbarton and offered Kelly time off, which in itself raises a lot of questions,” wrote @Makhosazana_B.

“Longwe is the one who pulled the trigger and they are protecting him. Why call Chicco Twala first and then offer Kelly Khumalo a break? Tumelo sings louder than a bird. I have always believed in Brother Senzo,” wrote @MaabuleM.

“We all know that Longwe Twala did this in the presence of Kelly and Zandi Khumalo, their mother, etc. We’ve never had any evidence or proof, but Tumel’s revelation today that Chico is offering Kelly a break after the murder is motive enough,” wrote @Codename__X.
